Wigan Whites won all 4 games 1-0 in the St Helens Festival bringing yet another trophy back to The Soccerdome. We were victorious against two St Helens teams and the other one was from Warrington. The matches were only 12 minutes so if you went a goal up it was hard for the opponents to
Wigan Walkers FC produced an excellent performance to beat long time unbeaten Tranmere Rovers in the 2nd round of the WFA over 50’s national tournament. They got their tactics spot on from the start and all players deserve credit for sticking to the plan. We went close a couple of times before Gary Wilkins seized
The WFA National Cup Round two, our youth team are away at Tranmere Rovers on Wednesday with a noon kick-off.

Our squad manged by Gary Wilkins turned in an excellent performance in the inaugural Prescot over 55’s tournament on June 12th. We were unbeaten in our 8 games,winning 5 and drawing three to pip Prescot by one point in a close finish. Normally slow starters in comps we went ahead in the 1st minute of our
Congratulation’s to our Over 55’s squad who won the Prescot nine team competition. They won five games and drew the other three whilst only conceding one goal along the way. A brilliant performance by ALL concerned.
Well done to all 11 successful WFA referee trainees, who attended the “club” funded course at the ever helpful Wigan Soccerdome.
