Much laughter and mirth in the rain as a high scoring game of 7-a-side was played on the outdoor pitch at The Wigan Walkingdome. Sodden skies didn’t deter our hardy band of players. Good turnout this morning with both keepers excelling in the difficult conditions.
Start time is 10.30am even during the Wigan & District school holidays. (Wednesday is an hour later at 11.30am while the schools are still off)
Wigan started brightly in pretty awful conditions with goals from Mike Lyon and Paul Yelulevich seeing Wigan through to second place in the league and the trophy semi final with wins over Colne and Leeds Titans B. Leeds Titans A were up next and a good football side they won 2-0 with the score slightly
